1920s Cyma half hunter pocket watch and chain
1920s Cyma half hunter pocket watch and chain.
The watch has a Cyma hand-winding movement, reference 778, which is working nicely. The movement is signed Cyma, Swiss made and the calibre number 778. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 46.9mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front cover has Roman numerals, in enamel, surrounding a small lens. The case has light surface marks from use and some wear to the bottom of the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, the plastic lens is in good condition. The white enamel dial is in nice condition.
The watch has later blued steel hands although antique.
The watch comes with a vintage gold plated single watch chain, 32.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
