1904 Elgin full hunter pocket watch.
1904 Elgin full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a gilded stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 10,401,364 dates it back to 1904. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is in good condition, just a short 3mm scratch to the back. The inside of the front cover has a tide mark half way across although we are not sure of the origins of the marking.
The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.
The signed white enamel dial is in good condition, just one short hairline over number 7 but it is faint. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
