1901 silver Lancashire Watch Company pocket watch
Antique silver Lancashire Watch Company pocket watch.
The watch has a signed key-wound movement which is working well. The movement is stamped with the words 'reversing pinion', which is a device which prevents damage if the mainspring breaks. A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.
The watch measures 52.4mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Chester 1901 with a case maker's mark for Thomas Peter Hewitt of the Lancashire Watch Company. The case has light surface marking from use and some mild bruising to the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1900s piece.
The glass lens is in nice condition.
The dial has some light surface marking although not noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
