18thC Beechwood Wall Hanging Candle Box

A rare and interesting 18thC Welsh birchwood candle box wall pocket of quality construction and gorgeous design. Featuring a shaped back, dovetail joints and unusual access hole to one side. It retains its original worn out hinges with a Victorian one added to the centre. With only a small number of historic worm holes to mention (treated).
Original throughout and in excellent condition with superb colour and patina this is a wonderfully decorative item of treen that would compliment any collection.
Length 33cm. Height 19cm. Depth 16cm
