18th Century Engraved Flask Secret Storage Book
An 18th century glass flask contained within a custom secret storage book.
The hinged book is fully bound in tan leather with blindstamped decoration. Signs of wear throughout. Remnants of leather strapping to the outer edges.
The glass flask is engraved on both sides. One side has the initials 'P.M' beneath a crown. The other is decorated with a scene of a child riding a mythical creature beneath the latin phrase 'Amor Omnia Vincit' ('Love Conquers All'). The flask has an historic repair to the foot but otherwise remains in a good condition, with all the character one would expect in a glass piece of this age.
A really charming item.
