Largish size 18th century George 3rd dovetailed walnut box with nice ogee moulded small plinth to the base. The lid with half round moulded edge. The box has its original lock with working key and original hinges. The box is emplty inside and seems to have always been so therefore may have been for storing letters. It is all original and is a lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish.
