A good example of a very nice, Antique, Victorian 18CT Gold English Pocket Watch dating from c1897. The watch is a good example, in very good overall condition and in working order. The English 18 carat gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "J.H", the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Chester town mark and date letter "o" for 1897/98. The inner cuvette similarly marked. The case also stamped with the serial number 54567. The rear of the case with mono initials.
The English Lever movement also with the matching serial number. The watch is stem wound and pin set. The dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 119.4g. A good example of a Victorian Pocket Watch.
