VERY GOOD QUALITY, ANTIQUE 18CT GOLD GENTLEMAN'S POCKET WATCH, R STEWART GLASGOW.
A very good quality, Antique, 18CT Gold gentleman's Pocket Watch retailed by R Stewart of Glasgow, dating from c1890.
The watch is an excellent example, in very good overall condition and and excellent working order.
The plain, 18 carat gold case is stamped "18C" and "0.755" for 18 carat gold, alongside Swiss control marks and the serial number 46550. The inner cuvette (dust cover) similarly marked.
The very good quality, Swiss made movement is signed by the retailer "R Stewart, 122 to 134 Argyle Street and 2 & 4 Buchanan Street, Glasgow". The watch is stem wound and pin set.
The white enamel dial is in very good condition. It has the hours in Arabic numerals and a sub-seconds dial at six o'clock.
