A fine quality silver pocket watch by Daniel Desbois of London. A silver case in full hunter style, showing Birmingham hallmarks for 1896. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. A good quality 3/4 plate mechanism with lever escapement. mechanism signed by maker Daniel Desbois, London and numbered 2032.

Daniel Desbois and Sons were makers and retailers of fine quality antique clocks and watches throughout the 19th century. This watch would have been retailed at their 79 High Holborn address.
