An exceptional fine 17th Century small chest / bible box retaining its original iron work. A beautiful and original deep patina that has build up over the past 300 years with a dry original interior surface. The front of the chest is intricately carved with a pair entwined hearts. Overall a superb chest, the very best of its kind.
