16thC Antique Oak Coffer Front with Romayne Panels
A stunning French antique oak coffer front, Circa 1550.
This panel still forms part of a a 16thC coffer. The coffer has been reduced in depth. The front panel remains intact. This item is offered with the benefit of two parchemin panels inset into the side of the item too (see last image).
The plank lid is made from 16th and 19thC oak timbers and lifts to reveal a void interior.
We bought this more for the front than anything else but have decided to sell the item as a whole rather than break it for the panels.
