14 Mario Bellini Matteo Grassi Cab Dining Chairs
We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare suite of fourteen fully restored vintage 1977 Mario Bellini for Matteo Grassi Cab 412 dining chairs

Please note I have as you can see 14 of these chairs in stock however if you need less say 8 or 10 I have no problem breaking up the set, I understand that a lot of people have a dining table large enough to accommodate 14 chairs
These are a super comfortable and as mentioned fully restored suite, they have been on a bit of journey of restoration actually, firstly they have travelled from the very south of England to the Isle of Anglesey in the north west of wales, here they have all the stitching around the legs restored and future proofed, each leg has been sealed so they can't split which was a common fault, then then travelled back south to Redhill where my leather polishers washed the old colour out, they were then hand dyed six times, antiqued sealed waxed down and polished, the end result is a super unique suite of chairs
These will be the only set of these chairs in the world with this exact colour finish, ideal for those of us who like their pieces to be individual
Bellini's Cab chair, designed in 1977, consists of a leather cover stretched over a minimal tubular steel frame inspired by how our skin fits over our skeleton. The only additional reinforcement is provided by a plastic plate that supports the seat. Bellini's innovation lay in using zips to fasten the leather cover to its frame a zip runs up the inside of each leg, securing the cover in place. Previously, zips had only been used for upholstered furniture. Bellini's decision to completely envelop the supporting structure lends the chair a unified appearance and enhances the quality of the natural leather.
Condition wise these chairs have been restored in such a way so as to keep all the original patina, the idea being to not lose the decades of charm and character

We have long term storage which is very economically priced, we are happy to hold stock for as long as needed providing it is arranged prior to the purchase.
If sold items aren’t collected within three months and no arrangements have been made for long term storage you will forfeit the item and payment.

We prefer collection on all items from Wimbledon SW19-3BE, If you have your own courier or wish to book the collection in yourself we are happy to accommodate you.
We can arrange delivery nationwide, please confirm the delivery amount before you buy and not after.
Whoever delivers will usually require some help on the larger items to unload, if this is not possible please let us know as it will affect the price to send a two man team.
Delivery is to the ground floor only, again if you need help upstairs or in flats etc that's absolutely not a problem, the couriers charge £10 per flight per man per item, if you have a working elevator then naturally there’s no additional fee.
