Description

Very attractive pair of Royal Doulton Lambeth salt-glaze stoneware baluster form vases c1910. Raised beaded design with tubelined stylised art nouveau flowers and leaves. Attractive blue/green stippled colour to body and neck/rim with lighter blue on shoulder. The vases measure 26.5cm in height and 13cm at the shoulder. Both vases carry the incised Royal Doulton mark used 1902-1922 and artist's monograms (unidentified).

DateEarly 20th Century : c1910 MakerDoulton Lambeth ConditionOne of the vases has a small inconspicuous area of restoration to its rim (shown in last image) but is otherwise in excellent condition. The other vase is in excellent original condition (very minor firing flaws to its glaze from original). Salt-glazing naturally produced a stippled effect on the finished colour.
