Description

Japanese Meiji silver set of three silver sake cups, signed Mitsukoshi and pure silver. Each cup is individually engraved. The cups measure 12cm diameter (125g), 10.5cm (94g) and 9cm (67g). They come in a presentation box.

The history of Mitsukoshi began in 1673, when Takatoshi Mitsui, a kimono fabric merchant, founded Echigoya, in Edo Honcho (present day Tokyo). The company is still in business today and operates a chain of department stores throughout Japan and abroad.
