Beautiful Vintage Limoges Jewellery Casket

Description
Magnificent Vintage (1930s) Limoges hand engraved and painted (with exotic birds & flowers) jewellery casket/dresser box with bronze mounts. Hand-written inscription on the bottom reads: ‘Engraved, painted & gilded entirely by hand by Le Tallec’. Measures 21cm x 11.5cm x 7cm high.Lovely original condition – absolutely no marks, damage or repairs.
Camille Le Tallec (1906-1991) was a famous French porcelain craftsman and artist. In the 1930s he took over the familial hand-painted porcelain studio founded in Belleville (Paris) early in the century. The studio created hand-painted porcelain tableware for many famous individuals including Queen Elizabeth II.
