Large 19th-Century Camphor Wood Brass Bound Travelling Trunk

A handsome and generously proportioned late 19th-century camphor wood travelling trunk, brass bound and fitted with brass corner mounts and carrying handles. The richly figured camphor timber has developed a warm, mellow colour and deep patina, enhanced by the original brass strapping and hardware, giving the piece great visual presence and character. The quality of the early timber and the depth of colour make this a particularly attractive and increasingly rare example.
