An exquisite Victorian burr walnut sewing table, dating to around 1880, featuring a finely inlaid top with elegant marquetry detailing. The table stands on a distinctive cradle base with shaped supports and scrolled feet, showcasing superb craftsmanship and rich walnut figuring throughout. The hinged lid opens to reveal an exceptional sycamore-lined interior, complete with intricate fretwork detailing and a variety of small fitted compartments, originally intended for storing threads, needles, and other sewing tools.
