Description
A rare Clarice Cliff 'Flamenco scene' lustre plate in apple green, designed by Ernest Procter for the 1934 Harrods and 1935 Art in Industry Exhibitions. In immaculate condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, lustre wear, scratches or pattern loss. Maybe the odd minute dust speck so please look closely at the photos which form part of the description. The lustre is perfect. Any marks are light reflection.21.5cm dia
Ernest Procter was an English designer, illustrator and painter, and husband of artist Dod Procter. He was actively involved with the Newlyn School, partner of the Harvey-Procter School and an instructor at the Glasgow School of Art. He was also a 'Fellow of the Royal Society'.
