Description

This was the first ever design (11755) on the mode shape, introduced in September 1930. A wonderful Shelley cup,saucer and side plate in Blue J, featuring stylised fruit with a blue band. All pieces are in good condition and ring beautifully when tapped. No chips, cracks or crazing, but for complete accuracy -
Side Plate - Some light utensil marks visible when held to the light, some glaze rubbing to the rim and a few tiny flecks on the inner blue band.
Saucer - A couple of tiny glaze spots on the side rim
Cup - A couple of tiny underglaze paint specks
