This is an unusual Georgian / early Victorian amethyst & paste ring in 22ct gold and silver.

It’s a conversion ring made of a closed back silver head set with a dark amethyst & paste stones on a 22ct gold band.

The ring is a size ‘R’ – US 8 & ¾, so it’s quite a large size.

Weight: 2.5 gram

It has a set of English hallmarks, including Victoria’s head - the date letter is rubbed.

Condition: crack to the amethyst, otherwise good for age.
