Description

Pair of solid silver open salts with traditional blue glass liners. The salts stand on four feet and have a wavy design to the top rim. If you remove the glass liners a few pock marks can be seen. These are caused by a few grains of salt getting between the glass and silver over the years and are quite normal on silver salts of this age. Salt has a corrosive effect on silver which is why glass liners are often suppilied. (Alternatively gilt interiors are required to protect the silver).
Both salts are hallmarked to centre underside with marks for Synyer and Beddoes Birmingham 1915.

Measure approximately 2 3/16 inches x 1 5/8 inches
