Antique Amber & Silk Long Bead Necklace. Egg Yolk. Victorian. Art Deco. Flapper Design.Large cognac amber drop with egg yolk amber beads strung on a black silk ribbon.
It's difficult to date this necklace. It could be from anytime between Victorian, Edwardian to Art Deco. I feel it's Victorian. Of course the amber itself is millions of years old.
The necklace measures 38" (96.5mm) long and the pendant section measures 3 1/2" (8.5cm) drop.
17 grams.
Great condition overall, only one of the egg yolk beads has a small 9mm hairline which is not visible with the naked eye and is quite sound.
