French 1930s Bronze Paperweight Pen Holder

Description
A wonderful, tactile, solid bronze paperweight in the shape of a lady's hand. As can be seen in the photos, the paperweight has been cleaned and lightly waxed to reveal a lovely, rich, patina. The hand holds a ball which is designed to hold a pen. The paperweight is approximately 8 cm in length and 4.8 cm at its widest. At the base of the hand is stamped 'Caron Freville' which was an Art foundry based in the small town of Freville-Escarbotin in the region of Picardy, France.
