Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Carver Chair
Description
An attractive carver chair. We date this chair to the mid 20th century. The chair sits on four square section legs with stretchers.
The carved backrest has a lovely pierced splatback and the armrests have a lovely splayed scrolled front. The chair seat pad has been newly upholstered in a green and blue tartan fabric.
The chair has an overall height of 38.5" (98cm), an overall width of 24" (61cm), an overall depth of 24" (61cm), a backrest height of 21" (53cm), a seat height of 17.5" (45cm), a seat width of 20" (50cm) and seat depth of 17” (44cm).
The chair remains in a good condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some minor marks to some edges from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant chair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
