Description

A lovely vintage oriental carved chest. We date this chest to the second half of the 20th Century.

The chest sits on four bracket feet.

The chest has been constructed from camphor wood and consists of a rear hinged lid. It features a darker coloured ornately carved detail that depict various oriental scenes to the top, front and sides. There is a decorative brass catch with an oriental lock and key.

Internally there is a shallow tray that sits on the top runners.

This beautiful chest can be utilised in a great number of ways from a blanket or toy chest to a small coffee table.

The chest has a height of 22.5" (57cm), a width of 40.5" (102cm) and a depth of 20.5" (61cm).

This lovely chest remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks to one end of the chest.

This remains a very beautiful and usable chest and it will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
