Description

A lovely early Victorian corner cabinet. We date this cabinet to the 19th century.

The cabinet is supplied in two sections, the top section and a base section. The cabinet sits on bracket feet and has a stepped cornice with dentil and carved mouldings.

The top section has two side hinged paneled doors with three fixed shelves with a shapely front.

The base section has two side hinged carved panel doors and one fixed shelf.

Both top and bottom section right hand doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied) and the left hand doors have catches.

The cabinet has an overall height of 96.5" (246cm), a width of 53" (135cm) including the cornice and a depth of 37" (94cm) from the back corner to the outer edge.

This lovely corner cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The cabinet has some minor indents to some edges, indentations to some areas of the finish and small areas of wear. There are some usage marks to the inside of the cabinet and the bottom door has a slight twist. The bottom lock has been later added.

This remains a very stylish and elegant corner cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
