An attractive pair of Italian style armchairs. We date these armchairs to the second half of the 20th century.

The chairs sit on four ornate legs. The chairs have a loose seat cushion and a fixed button backrest. The armrests are well padded and have a scroll end with a lovely carved front, the carving continues along the front of the chair below the seat. The backrests have a shapely carved top rail that continues down to the rear of the arm rest.

The chairs are upholstered in a green coloured velour material finished with a stud edging.

The chairs have an overall height of 34.5" (88cm) at highest with an overall width of 38" (97cm) and an overall depth of 31" (79cm). It has a backrest height of 22" (56cm), a seat height of 14.5" (37cm), a seat width of 19" (48cm) and a seat depth of 22" (56cm).

These attractive armchairs remain in a good solid condition with only minor surface marking commensurate with age and usage. The chairs have only very minor wear to the wood and fabric. One seat cushion is firmer than the other and the material has very slightly mellowed over time due to positioning in the past. One of the bottoms is missing from one backrest.

This remains a very stylish and elegant pair of armchairs. That will continue to provide rest and repose for many years to come.
