Description

A lovely kidney shaped writing desk. We date this desk to the second half of the 20th century.

The desk sits on four cabriole legs with large claw and ball feet.

The main desk is fitted with a central drawer fitted with a lock (key is supplied) flanked by three drawers to either side. The drawers are fitted with drop handles mounted on pierced backplates. The drawers have a vertical curved shape to the fronts.

The desk has an overall height of 30.5" (78cm), a width of 48" (122cm) and a depth of 27" (68cm) at its deepest.

This lovely kidney shaped desk remains in a very good solid condition. There is some very minor wear to the top surface finish and some edges. There are three very slightly darker marks to the desktop where something has sat over the years.

This remains a very stylish and elegant kidney shaped desk which could function equally well as a dressing table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
