Description

A lovely antique cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The cabinet sits on four downward tapered square section legs, there is a small shapely gallery to the rear.

The cabinet has a single side hinged glazed door with attractive beading that is fitted with a lock (key is supplied), the sides of the cabinet are also glazed. The interior of the cabinet has two wooden shelves, the shelves and the rear of the cabinet have a dark green velvet fabric covering.

The cabinet has an overall height of 58" (148cm) including gallery, a top surface height of 54.5” (139cm), a width of 24" (61cm) and a depth of 12.5" (32cm).

This lovely cabinet remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage, these include some minor wear to the surface and some edges. There is some mellowing to the front of the cabinet and the keyhole escutcheon is missing. There are some usage marks to the material on the shelves as can be seen in the pictures.

This remains a very stylish display cabinet. It could house a nice collection and will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
