Description

A lovely corner display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the first half of the 19th century.

The cabinet is supplied in two sections.

The display cabinet sits on a shapely cut out plinth base with a shapely carved cornice.

The cabinet has attractive inlaid designs on the cornice, between the top and base section and on the panels at the sides of each door.

The doors are glazed with glass panes with wood glazing strips producing a pleasing geometric pattern. The bottom door has an inlaid wooden panel in the centre.

The doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied).

The top interior is fitted with three fixed position wooden shelves. The lower interior has two fixed position wooden shelves.

The cabinet has an overall height of 80.5" (205cm), a width of 29" (74cm) and a depth of 20" (51cm) from the back corner to the outer edge.

This lovely inlaid mahogany corner display cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear to some edges from past use and there is a darker mark on the right hand canted edge at the top.

This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany corner display cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
