Description

A lovely antique bookcase cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The cabinet sits on four square section legs with a H stretcher at the base, there is a small gallery to the rear.

The cabinet has three cupboards each with a side hinged door, the central door is panelled and the two side doors are glazed with bevel edge glass. All three cabinets are glazed at the sides. The doors are fitted with locks (keys are supplied) and the interior of the cabinet has a removable wooden shelf to each cupboard.

The cabinet has an overall height of 48" (122cm), a width of 53" (135cm) and a depth of 12.5" (32cm).

The internal shelf depth is 9.5” (24cm).

This lovely cabinet remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage, these include a few very minor indentations and scratches to the top surface and some edges. There are three cracked glass panels in the left hand side door. The top surface has an old repair.

This remains a very stylish bookcase cabinet. It could house a nice collection of books etc. and will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
