Description

An attractive pair of oak church chairs. We date these chairs to the second half of the 20th century.

The chairs sit on four square section legs with a H stretcher and are very heavy.

The chairs have a plain cross carving within a circle to the top and an arched shaped carving on the rear of the backrest. The seat areas have loose blue fabric seat pads.

The chairs have a height of 42" (107cm) with a backrest height of 23.5" (60cm), an overall depth of 19" (48cm), a seat height of 18" (46cm), a seat width of 19.5" (49cm) and a seat depth of 16" (41cm).

These attractive chairs remain in good solid condition with surface marks commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear around the feet.

These remain a very stylish and elegant pair of chairs that are supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest for many years to come.
