Description

This lovely rustic antique bookcase has been constructed from reclaimed antique pine. We date this bookcase to the late 19th century.

The floor standing bookcase is supplied in a single section and sits on a plain plinth base.

The interior of the bookcase has three fixed position wooden shelves.

The front of the bookcase has two glazed doors with glass panes with wood glazing strips producing a pleasing astragal pattern. The doors are fitted with button handles, the left hand door has a top catch and the right hand door has a working lock, (key supplied).

The bookcase has an overall height of 45" (114cm), a width of 56" (143cm) and a depth of 14" (36cm).

The internal shelf depth is 9.5” (24cm).

This lovely reclaimed pine bookcase remains in good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some marks and wear to the surface and some edges.

This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase. It could house a good sized collection of books or object's d'art etc. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
