Description

A lovely carved oak chest. We date this chest to the second half of the 20th century.

The chest sits on four carved cabriole legs.

The main chest consists of three drawers to the right hand side with attractive carvings to the front panels and decorative brass handles. There is a cupboard to the left hand side with a side hinged carved panel door with a large brass button handle. The cupboard has a mid height removable shelf.

The chest has a height of 29" (74cm), a width of 31.5" (80cm) and a depth of 17" (43cm).

This lovely carved oak chest remains in very good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including a lighter area in the center of the top surface and minor wear to the top front left hand corner from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant carved chest which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
