Description

A lovely oak chest of drawers. We date this chest of drawers to the late 17th century.

The chest sits on carved bracket feet. The chest consists of three full width drawers. The drawer fronts have carved panels and are fitted with swan neck drop handles mounted on circular backplates that have been added at some time in the past. The drawers are also fitted with brass escutcheons but no locks.

The chest of drawers has a height of 33" (84cm), a width of 34" (87cm) and a depth of 22.5" (57cm).

This lovely chest of drawers remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some old restorations including one at the front left hand corner. There are some marks and wear to the top surface from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant chest of drawers which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
