Description

A lovely antique walnut whatnot. We date this whatnot to the late 19th century.

The whatnot comes as a single section and sits on four small turned legs.

The whatnot has four tiers and is supported on well turned and carved columns. The columns are topped with turned finials.

The whatnot has a demi lune shape and has an inlaid design on each tier and frontage. The top shelf has an attractive carved gallery.

The whatnot has an overall height of 52" (132cm), a width of 24" (61cm) and a depth of 11.5" (29cm).

This lovely antique whatnot remains in good condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a small piece of inlay missing from the second top shelf and some minor wear to some of the edges.

This remains a very stylish and elegant antique whatnot which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
