Description

A lovely pair of bedside cabinets. We date these cabinets to the mid 20th Century.

The cabinets sit on a recessed curved plinth. Both cabinets consist of a single side alternatively hinged door in a serpentine shape. The doors are fitted with large ornate brass handles mounted on backplates.

The cabinets have lovely marble tops in rust and greys.

The cabinets have a large gallery back with a shapely top, originally the cabinets would have flanked a headboard to match them.

The cabinets each have an overall height of 36.5" (93cm), a table top height of 20” (51cm),a width of 17” (43cm) and depth of 16" (40cm).

This lovely pair of cabinets remain in a good condition with some surface markings commensurate with age and usage including some slight mellowing to the front of one cabinet and a mark to the base where the bottom of the door has rubbed. There are some minor marks to the marble.

These remain a very stylish and elegant pair of cabinets. They will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
