Description

A lovely Victorian carved mahogany washstand. We date this washstand to the late 19th century.

The washstand sits on a carved plinth base on bun feet.

The washstand is supplied in three sections. The separate mirror, marble top and base chest section.

The main chest features five drawers, two over three fitted with decorative wooden handles and locks (no key is supplied but one could be obtained if required).

The chest has a white marble top with a curved front edge.

The mirror sits at the rear of the chest and has a white marble frontage at the base. The mirror has an attractive shape and is supported by lovely carved supports at each side.

The washstand has an overall height of 72.5" (185cm), a base section height of 33" (84cm), a base width of 46.5" (119cm), and a base depth of 22" (56cm)

This lovely washstand remains in good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. One of the handles on the bottom drawer has a chip out of it and there is some very minor wear to some edges from past use.

This remains a stylish and elegant washstand. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
