Description

A lovely antique oak bookcase cabinet. We date this bookcase cabinet to the early 20th century.

The bookcase sits on shapely bracket feet.

The front of the bookcase is of a three panel design with each panel being a side hinged glazed door.

The doors are glazed with bevel edge glass.

The two outer doors are fitted with a lock (key is supplied), the central door has top and bottom catches. Internally there are three adjustable wooden shelves behind the left hand door and three wider wooden adjustable shelves to the right.

The bookcase cabinet has a height of 60.5" (154cm), a width of 58" (148cm) and a depth of 12.5" (32cm).

The internal shelves have a depth of 11" (29cm).

This lovely oak bookcase cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear to the top surface from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant bookcase cabinet which could house a reasonable sized collection of books and display a small sized collection of objects d'art etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
