Description

A lovely Art Deco wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the 1930’s.

The wardrobe sits on bracket feet with a shapely plinth below the front side panels.

The wardrobe has a lovely arched shape with a large central side hinged door. The door has a decorative painted carving in autumn colours and is fitted with an ornate handle. The door is also fitted with a lock (key is supplied).

The door is flanked by slightly recessed panels to each side, which have attractive reeded column style carvings at the side of the door.

The interior of the wardrobe is fitted with two front to back brass rails each with three hooks, there is a brass rod for ties etc on the rear of the door.

The wardrobe has a height of 75.5" (192cm) at highest, a width of 50" (127cm) and a depth of 19.5" (50cm) at deepest.

This lovely wardrobe remains in good condition with some minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are also a few light scratches to the finish and a bit of wear to some of the edges and the base.

This remains a very stylish and elegant wardrobe which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
