Description

A lovely corner display cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The cabinet is supplied in two parts, the top and base sections.

The display cabinet sits on bracket feet with an integral carved cornice.

The doors are glazed with glass panes with wood glazing strips producing a pleasing astragal pattern.

The doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied).

The top interior is fitted with three fixed position wooden shelves and a pink velvet lining on the back. The lower cupboard also has a glazed door and has a single fixed position wooden shelf with pink velour lining.

The cabinet has an overall height of 76.5" (194cm) including cornice, a front width of 29" (74cm) and a depth of 19.5" (50cm) from the back corner to the outer edge.

This lovely mahogany corner display cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some indents and wear on some edges from past use primarily to the top of the front edge of the base section. The internal shelves have had corners cut out on the right hand side of the top and bottom shelf in the top unit and in the base units at some time in the past, probably for wiring.

This remains a very stylish and elegant mahogany corner display cabinet which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
