Description

A lovely walnut side cabinet. We date this cabinet to the 1920s.

The cabinet sits on a plinth base with a cut out to the front apron.

The cabinet consists of a cupboard with a fixed mid height wooden shelf. The cupboard door has an attractive carved panel at the top half with four small mirrors and is fitted with a lock and decorative lock plate (key is supplied). The door is held in place by a small ball catch and there is a small brass rail gallery at the rear.

The cabinet has an overall height of 36.5" (93cm) including gallery, a table top height of 35.5” (91cm), a width of 21" (54cm) and a depth of 13.5" (34cm).

This walnut cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some minor wear to some surfaces, base and some edges from past use. There is some minor foxing to the mirrors and the lock escutcheon has been replaced at some time.

This remains a very stylish & elegant cabinet. It could serve well as either a bedside cabinet or as a side cabinet. The cabinet will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
