Description

An attractive Victorian settee. We date this settee to the second half of the 19th century.

The settee sits on four well turned legs above their castors and the seat and backrest are well padded. The armrests have a scroll end with a lovely carved mahogany front, the mahogany continues along the front of the settee below the seat and the backrest has a shapely carved top rail.

The settee is upholstered in a light blue velour material.

The settee has an overall height of 36.5" (93cm) with an overall length of 63.5" (162cm) and an overall depth of 27" (69cm). The sofa has a backrest height of 19.5" (50cm), a seat height of 16" (41cm), a seat width of 46" (117cm) and a seat depth of 20.5" (52cm).

This attractive settee remains in good solid condition with only minor surface marking commensurate with age and usage. The fabric has some marks on the material primarily to the armrests and there are some light marks to the seat area as can be seen in the pictures.

This remains a very stylish and elegant settee. The settee will continue to provide rest and repose for many years to come.
