Description

A lovely antique walnut bedside cabinet. We date this cabinet to the late 19th century.

The cabinet sits on a plain plinth base and has a lovely fixed marble top of reds, greys and pinks.

The cabinet has three drawers and a cupboard that are fitted with wooden knob handles.

The cupboard sits below the top drawer and has a dummy drawer frontage with a drop down flap door. There is a catch at the top to keep the door securely closed. The internal base of the cupboard has a marble shelf.

The cabinet has an overall height of 33" (84cm), a width of 16" (41cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm).

This attractive cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a tiny chip to the marble at the left hand side and wear on some edges from past use. There are some old worm holes that have been treated twice to make sure.

This remains a very stylish & elegant cabinet. It could serve well as either a bedside cabinet or as a side cabinet. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
