Description

A lovely breakfront sideboard. We date this sideboard to the early 19th century.

The sideboard is supplied as a single section and sits on six sturdy downward tapered reeded legs with turned feet arranged four at the front and two at the rear.

The sideboard has a central breakfront design with two central drawers, the top drawer has circular drop handles mounted on circular back plates. The lower drawer has lovely inlaid mahogany with a shapely apron.

These are flanked by a cupboard on the left hand side and a deep drawer on the right hand with matching handles.

The top drawer and cupboards are fitted with locks (no key is supplied but one should be easily obtainable if required).

The sideboard has a height of 36.5" (93cm), a width of 69" (176cm) and a depth of 23.5" (60cm) in the centre.

This attractive mahogany sideboard remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some light scratches and wear to the table top and some edges. There is a slight age split on the top surface running from left to right as can be seen in the pictures.

This remains a very stylish and elegant sideboard. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
