Parker Knoll Green Leather Armchair and Stool
Description
An attractive Parker Knoll wingback armchair and stool. We date this armchair to around the early second half of the 20th Century.The armchair sits on two cabriole legs with pad feet at the front and two backward splayed square section legs at the rear. The chair is upholstered in green leather and finished with stud detail. The seat is supplied with a loose seat cushion.
The stool is oblong in shape and sits on 4 cabriole legs with pad feet. The stool is upholstered with green leather with stud detail.
The armchair has an overall height of 38" (97cm), a depth of 30" (76cm), a width of 32" (81cm),a backrest height of 24” (61cm), a seat height of 16" (41cm), a seat width of 19" (48cm) and a seat depth of 20.5" (52cm).
The stool has a height of 16” (41cm), a width of 25” (63cm) and a depth of 17.5” (44cm).
This attractive armchair and stool remains in good condition. The leather in the chair is showing some signs of wear to the stitching, armrests and some edges. The stool also shows some wear to the edges and the stitching on one corner has come a little loose.
This remains a very stylish and elegant armchair and footstool. They are both comfortable and supportive and will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
