Description

A lovely antique stool. We date this stool to the late 19th Century.

The stool sits on a X frame and has been upholstered in brown and blue heavy woven foliate and bird designed tapestry with braid detail.

The stool has a lovely central carved cartouche shield in the center of the X frame along with decoratively carved feet. The stool has a central turned stretcher.

The stool has a height of 17" (43cm) with a width of 21" (53cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).

This stool remains in a good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is a fair amount of wear to the material at the edges as can be seen in the pictures.

This remains a very stylish and elegant stool. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
