Description

We date this coal scuttle to the late 19th Century.

The coal scuttle has two side hinged doors slanted back with a brass and turned wood handle on the top. The original shovel sits in a bracket at the back and it has its internal metal liner.

The coal scuttle has a height of 17" (43cm) with a width of 21" (53cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).

This coal scuttle remains in a good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The coal scuttle has a few historical repairs and is missing a small brass nut from one of its handles.

This remains a very stylish and useful coal scuttle. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
