A lovely antique wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the late 19th century.

The wardrobe sits on a plain plinth base with a cut out apron and has a stepped cornice.

The wardrobe comes in three sections, the main hanging section, the drawer base section and the cornice. Please measure to make sure it will fit through doors, around corners etc. The front of the wardrobe has a single bevelled mirrored door. The door is flanked by a panel at each side with a carved area at the top.

The interior of the wardrobe is fitted with a front to back hanging rail and seven hooks, five at the rear and one each side. There is a large drawer below the hanging section.

The drawer and wardrobe door are fitted with drop handles mounted on backplates and are both fitted with locks (no key supplied but one could be obtained if required). The handle turns to open the catch on the door.

The wardrobe has a height of 84" (214cm), a cornice width of 54" (138cm) and a depth of 20.5" (52cm).

The internal hanging depth measurement is 16” (40cm) and the hanging length measurement is 54.5” (138cm).

This lovely wardrobe remains in good condition with some surface markings and indentations commensurate with age and usage. There are some old repairs around the base front and some wear to the cornice as can be seen in the pictures. There are some heavier marks to the outer sides.

This remains a very stylish and elegant wardrobe which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
