Description

A lovely antique towel rail. We date this towel rail to the late 19th century.

The rail sits on arched legs at the side and has a low narrow shelf to the base.

The outer swing out sections are on hinges that fold in flat when not in use with a hook and catch to hold in the closed position. There are three drying bars on each section.

The rail is 40" (102cm) high with a width of 29” (74cm) and a depth of 13" (33cm) at the feet.

When fully opened the width is 57.5” (147cm).

This lovely towel rail remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface marks and indentations commensurate with age and usage. There is a little wear around some edges from past use.

This remains a very stylish and elegant towel rail. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
